राजस्थान में स्कूली बच्चों को मिलेगी यूनिक आईडी, पूरे जीवन की पढ़ाई का रहेगा लेखा जोखा

Nagaur: More than 1.50 crore students studying in government and private schools in Rajasthan will now be given a unique ID number. This Permanent Education Number (PEN), issued for one country, one student ID, will be of 12 digits. Students will be able to use this number as their educational identity throughout their life. Issuance of a unique number for students will help in curbing fake degrees and diplomas.

By having a unique number, the student will be able to know where, when and with whom he has studied. Rajasthan School Education Council Commissioner Avichal Chaturvedi has issued orders and started preparations. This will stop the fraud of fake degrees and diplomas. In the new National Education Policy-2020, emphasis has been laid on creating a unique ID for every student.

AAPAR (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) work for Unique ID PEN has been started. The construction will be done through the U-DICE Plus portal of the Central Government. For this, it is necessary for the school to activate the U Dice Plus portal in the academic year 2024-25. Besides, it is important for the student to also be active. Permanent Education Number (PEN) will be generated through Apar only after the data of the students is verified.

ID will not be made on Apar without Aadhaar
For Apar ID, the student must have Aadhar card. Also, the data of students on U Dice Plus should be verified by the school. The correct mobile number of the parent or guardian should be available on the U DICE portal. Students who do not have Aadhaar card will have to get Aadhaar made. Without this, Apar ID will not be generated.

Document verification can be done in recruitments
All the education degrees and diplomas of the students are being saved at one place, which will be linked to Digi Locker, where all the achievements can be found at one place. Applications can be made for transfer, skill, job and higher education. Apar can also be linked to the student’s Academic Credit Bank (ABC). Document verification can be done in recruitments. In such a situation, if someone applies or displays a fake degree, he will be easily caught.
