Census will be held next year
A big update has come out regarding the census conducted every 10 years in India. According to sources, census in India will start next year i.e. in 2025. The census will continue for one year i.e. till 2026. After this, the census will now be held every 10 years in the country and the next census will be held in 2035. Its cycle was disturbed due to Covid. Earlier, census was conducted every decade. Earlier it had happened in 1991, 2001, 2011 and thus it was going to happen in the year 2021. Due to the Covid pandemic, the census had to be postponed but after this the census cycle will also change and now the next census will be held in 2025 and then in 2035 and then in 2045, 2055.
