Yes, we are talking about the fire dance performed by the people of Siddha community in Katriyasar village, 50 kilometers away from Bikaner. A fair is organized here in Katariasar Dham four times a year.

Here people performed Dhoka in the morning and performed fire dance in the evening at the Gorakhmaliya Samadhi site. During this period, groups of pedestrians arrived throughout the day. There was a continuous flow of devotees to visit the temple. Jasnath Temple Mahant Birbalnath Jyani lit the lamp. After this the devotees offered Prasad and sought wishes. And the newlyweds threatened an alliance. Havan was also performed during this period. In this, sacrifices of ghee and coconut were made. Devotees from Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and surrounding districts also reached the fair.

You will be surprised to see the dance
Mahant told that many devotees also go to Dabla pond where Jasnath ji had incarnated. People come to this Dham from many parts of the country. People of Siddha community, wearing saffron colored turban on their heads and wearing white clothes, start walking on the embers with the beat of drums and invocations. The people watching are surprised to see this dance. Dulnath Siddh said that Bhamashahs and talents of the society were honored in the program.

Following the tradition for 550 years
These devotees dance fearlessly on the burning embers. The noise of music playing there further increases their enthusiasm. It is said that the special priests of Baba Jasnath Ji Maharaj have a blessing due to which their feet do not get burnt by dancing on fire. Apart from this, many people say that Baba’s sages not only dance on fire. They also swallow burning coals. The people of the sect have been following this tradition for more than 550 years. Its origin place is Katariasar. This dance is performed by devotees on burning embers.

Home is done slowly
Playing raga and fag with fire is not seen anywhere except in the Jasnathi sect. The fumigation is done by burning lots of wood in a big circle. In this, ghee is burnt and water is sprinkled around it. The dancers rapidly circumambulate the Dhuna and then, taking permission from the Guru, enter the embers. Many types of stunts etc. are also performed during the dance. On this occasion, the compositions Simbhudhado Kodo, Gorakhchhand and Stawan composed by Jasnathji are sung. According to tradition, the devotees coming to Jasnathji fair are given traditional food of Khichra, Kadi and Ghee by the temple Mahant.

About 550 years ago, during the time of crisis due to foreign invaders, the Siddha community had envisioned this dance for the development of personal and moral qualities, balanced living and protection for the living world including animals, which is reflected in the people of this sect even today. Is. Not only this, when the people of the Siddha community were considered hypocrites and called to the court of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, the Siddhas presented this dance in Delhi under the leadership of Saint Rustam ji. After conquering Delhi, these Siddhas were given jagirs as gifts.
