Bilaspur: The 120 year old temple of Maa Marimai Mata, located in the New Railway Colony of Bilaspur city, remains a major center of religious faith for the devotees. This ancient temple is situated on the edge of the forest adjacent to the railway area and there is also a lake in front of it. According to the beliefs of the temple, the prayers and wishes made here never go empty, due to which this temple attracts devotees from far and wide.

Miraculous history of the temple
The miraculous history of the statue of Maa Tripura Sundari dates back to 1901, when this statue appeared from within the earth. This idol, found in the form of a simple stone, was established by the late Shri Sadanand Achari, a retired railway employee, to whom Mata had appeared in his dream. The snake god is believed to be present under the Palash tree located behind the temple, which further enhances the religious importance of the temple.

According to the religious beliefs of the temple, childless couples come here and receive blessings from the mother to have a child. Devotees AK Mukherjee and Manju Mukherjee say that whoever comes to the court of Mata with a true heart, all his wishes are fulfilled.
