Lahore: There is no sign of reduction in crimes against Hindus in Pakistan. In the latest incident here, two Hindu businessmen have been kidnapped. It is being told that unknown miscreants kidnapped both the Hindu businessmen at gunpoint. Now a big condition has been imposed in exchange for his release. Till now no concrete step has been taken by the Pakistan government for the release of Hindus.
The kidnappers have demanded the release of their accomplices from police custody for the release of the two Hindus. According to the police, this incident took place in Rahim Yar Khan, 500 kilometers away from Lahore, the capital of Pakistan’s Punjab province. Senior police officer Rizwan Gondal told reporters on Wednesday, “On Friday, dacoits kidnapped Hindu businessmen Shamir ji and Dhima ji.” Later, the dacoits demanded the release of their accomplices in exchange for releasing them.” He told that the kingpin Kabul Sukhan is involved in this kidnapping on whom a reward of one crore Pakistani rupees has been declared.
Pakistan formed a team
Pakistan Police said that a team has been formed to free the businessmen from the clutches of the kidnappers. A police team has been formed to secure the safe release of five other people who were recently kidnapped. “The miscreants have also released a video of Hindu and other hostages, in which they are demanding the release of their comrades from police custody,” the officer said. The miscreants have threatened that if their demands are not met, they will kill the hostages. This has made his family members quite nervous. He expressed hope that the police would soon rescue the kidnapped businessmen.
Kidnapping cases increased
The police officer said that along with kidnapping from streets and residential areas, they are also kidnapping people by luring them into honey traps. Meanwhile, such incidents have increased. Therefore people will have to be more cautious. President of ‘Rahim Yar Khan Chamber of Commerce and Industry’ Iqbal Hafiz has expressed serious concern over the rapidly increasing cases of kidnapping in the district. “It is the responsibility of the province to ensure a safe environment for businessmen and industrialists,” he said.
