pakistan cricket team
The third and last match of the 3-match Test series between Pakistan and England is being played in Rawalpindi. In the first match, England registered a resounding victory, while in the second test, Pakistan made a tremendous counterattack and leveled the series. Now there is a fierce battle going on between the two teams in the third test. The third Test match started from 24 October, in which on the first day, Pakistani bowlers bowled brilliantly and bowled out England for 267 runs in the first innings.
Pakistan gave a chance to 5 bowlers in its playing eleven for the third test. Only one fast bowler was included in these. The limit was reached when this fast bowler did not get a chance to bowl even a single over. In this way, for the first time in the 72 year history of Pakistan’s cricket, a unique feat was seen.
The spinners did wonders
Actually, four spinners Sajid Khan, Noman Ali, Zahid Mahmood and Agha Salman bowled for Pakistan on the first day. In these, Sajid Khan took 6 wickets and Noman Ali took 3 wickets while one success went to Zahid Mahmood. Agha Salman could not open his account. At the same time, Aamir Jamal, the only fast bowler in the playing eleven, kept waiting for his turn to come. In this way, for the first time in Pakistan’s Test history, it happened that
The fast bowler could not bowl a single ball in the first innings of the test match.
Shameful performance of the opening pair
After New Zealand was reduced to 267 runs, Pakistan’s opening pair entered the field. Abdullah Shafiq and Sam Ayub started the innings. As soon as both of them made a partnership of 16 runs, they made a big record in their name. In fact, this was the first time in 11 Test innings that there was a partnership of so many runs between the two. From this it can be estimated how poor is the performance of this opening pair of Pakistan in Tests. However, this time too the pair could not do anything special and could only add 35 runs for the first wicket. This partnership broke as soon as Abdullah Shafiq was out in the 10th over.
