Delhi Jal Board has said that water supply will remain affected in more than 60 areas till October 31. In Delhi, water is supplied from many water treatment plants. Here water is made suitable for drinking and other purposes. After this the supply is made. The water for the 110 MGD Bhargathi plant and the 140 MGD Sonia Vihar plant mainly comes from the Ganga Canal. UP Irrigation Board is carrying out its maintenance and repairs from October 12 to 31. For this reason it has been closed. In such a situation, water is being supplied from Yamuna river, but the level of ammonia in Yamuna water is high and there is difficulty in cleaning it. Due to this reason the supply of water has decreased. The capacity of both plants has been reduced by 30 percent. Due to this the water supply is also decreasing.
