Chandigarh. The results of Haryana Assembly elections surprised everyone. BJP has won 48 seats. Congress has suffered a major setback and has been able to win only 37 seats. Three independents have also won in the state. Two seats have gone to INLD’s account.
Maman Khan has registered the biggest victory in the entire Haryana in the Congress Party. From Firozpur Jhirka seat, Maman Khan defeated his rival BJP candidate Naseem Ahmed by 98441 votes. Maman Khan was also accused of Nuh violence. Even in the elections, Maman Khan had become an issue in the Nuh violence case.
BJP lost all three seats of Nuh district
BJP has got a big victory in the state but the party has suffered a huge setback in Nuh. BJP had to face defeat on all the three seats of Nuh district namely Nuh, Firozpur Jhirka and Punhana. All three seats are considered Muslim dominated.
BJP has got the biggest victory in entire Haryana from Gurugram and Badshahpur assembly constituencies. BJP’s Mukesh Sharma won from Gurugram with the maximum number of votes. Mukesh Sharma won by 68045 votes and defeated independent Naveen Goyal who had rebelled against BJP. BJP’s Rao Narbir Singh also registered a big victory from Badshahpur. He won by 60705 votes and defeated Vardhan Yadav of Congress.

Prominent candidates include current Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda, wrestlers Vinesh Phogat, Aditya Surjewala and Mamman Khan and independent candidate Savitri Jindal who have won the election. Many veterans have also had to taste defeat. These include outgoing Assembly Speaker and BJP candidate Gyan Chand Gupta, INLD’s Abhay Singh Chautala, Haryana Lokhit Party’s Gopal Kanda and BJP leader OP Dhankhar.
