Abhinav Kumar/Darbhanga: The current of Kosi river has recently caused severe devastation in Bhubaul village of Tardih block of the district. After this natural disaster, village life has not returned to normal. About 40 to 50 families in the village are still facing difficult conditions, who do not even have access to basic food items.
lack of government help
Local residents say that government help has not reached here yet. The grains kept in their homes have been ruined and some people who bring relief material are stopped at the dam itself. They distribute the material there, but adequate help does not reach the people living in the village.
Boat and ration arrangements missing
Neither boat has been arranged nor ration has been delivered to the village by the government. The water is receding, but it may take months for traffic to be fully restored. After the breach of the embankment of Kosi River, no one has any idea in which direction the river current will move. This has created even more uncertainty and an atmosphere of fear in the village.
Village contact still lost

Once upon a time this village used to be prosperous, but now there is an atmosphere of mourning everywhere.
battle for people’s lives
People whose houses were washed away or drowned, come to the village from the dam during the day and try to find their remaining belongings. Often they do not get anything and return empty handed and disappointed. Life in the village is going on somehow now and people are fighting for their survival.
expectation from government
40 to 50 families of Bhubaul village are still facing serious problems of food and drink. In this painful situation of the village, immediate intervention is expected from the government so that people can get relief and assistance.
