Kartik month 2024: The month of Kartik is considered very sacred in Hindu religion. This month is considered special for the worship of Lord Vishnu. Worshiping Shri Hari in the month of Kartik brings happiness, prosperity and peace in life. This year, the month of Kartik has started from 18th October 2024, which will end with Kartik Purnima on 15th November. In this month, by observing fast, doing charity and worship, a person gets the blessings and happiness and prosperity of Lord Vishmu and Mother Lakshmi. It is said that by doing these things in the month of Kartik, the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi are showered on the house. So let us know which activities one gets auspicious results by doing in the month of Kartik.
1. Ganga bath
In the month of Kartik, one should wake up before sunrise and take bath in the Ganges or holy rivers. If this is not possible then you can take bath at home by mixing Ganga water in the bath water. By doing this one gets the virtuous results of taking a pilgrimage. By taking bath in Ganga in Kartik, a person gets freedom from all kinds of sins. Taking bath in Ganga in the month of Kartik is considered virtuous.
2. Tulsi Puja
Worshiping Tulsi in the month of Kartik is considered extremely auspicious. In the month of Kartik, giving water to Tulsi plant every morning and lighting a lamp near Tulsi plant in the evening ensures happiness and prosperity in the house. By doing this, Goddess Lakshmi also resides in the house. Let us tell you that Tulsi marriage is organized only in the month of Kartik. On this occasion, Mata Tulsi is married to Shaligram.
Shaligram is considered to be an incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
3. Deepdan
By donating a lamp in the month of Kartik one gets the blessings of Lord Vishnu. In this month, there is a tradition of donating lamps near the temple, Tulsi, Amla tree, river, pond, well, stepwell and pond. It is said that by doing this one gets many times more virtuous results.
4. Worship Lord Dhanvantari
In the month of Kartik, worship the father of medicines i.e. Dhanvantari. There is a religious belief that on the day of Hadhanteras, Lord Dhanvantari appeared with a pot of nectar and medicines. Worshiping them brings blessings of health and long life. Let us tell you that the festival of Dhanteras is celebrated 2 days before Diwali.
5. Keep your mind calm
Kartik month is considered an important month for performing devotional and religious activities. In such a situation, maintain patience in the month of Kartik and also speak less. Along with this, follow the rule of celibacy in the month of Kartik and also avoid doing evil to anyone.
