Bhavya Bishnoi has lost the election from Adampur by 1268 votes. He was defeated by Chandraprakash of Congress in a tough contest. Adampur was the stronghold of former CM Bhajanlal for 56 years.
New Delhi. The biggest upset in the Haryana Assembly elections has taken place in Adampur Assembly seat. This stronghold of former Chief Minister Bhajan Lal for the last 56 years has been demolished this time by Chandraprakash of Congress. Bhajan Lal’s grandson and BJP candidate Bhavya Bishnoi could not save his family’s ancestral seat this time and lost to Chandraprakash by 1268 votes in a tough contest. The Bhajan family had dominated this seat for the last 56 years, which was broken this time. Not only former Chief Minister Bhajan Lal but his wife, son, daughter-in-law and grandson also became MLAs by winning the Adampur seat. Chandraprakash has been a former IAS officer. He is the President of the Handicrafts and Craftsman Cell of the Haryana Congress Committee, Member Secretary of the State Election Manifesto Committee of the Congress, and a member of the State Program Scheduling Committee. He was not a big face in the political circles of Haryana, Hisar and Adampur. But still he defeated Bhavya Bishnoi.
Bhavya, son of Kuldeep Bishnoi and grandson of Bhajanlal, started his political innings by winning the last election from Adampur. But, this time despite BJP’s excellent performance in Haryana, it could not win. Adampur: Before the elections, many parties and senior leaders came in front of the Bhajan family, but no one could snatch this fort from them. But, since the last few elections, indications have started emerging that holes are now appearing in the walls of this fort of Bhajan. Adampur assembly comes under Hisar Lok Sabha constituency. Even in the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Kuldeep Bishnoi and Bhavya Bishnoi could not give edge to BJP candidate Ranjit Singh from Adampur and Congress’s Jaiprakash won from here by about 7000 votes.
