हरियाणा में हार के बाद कांग्रेस में जंग खुलकर सामने आई, कुमारी सैलजा ने हुड्डा पर साधा निशाना

New Delhi. Dissatisfaction in the Congress leadership in Haryana became more open on Tuesday even before the announcement of the final results. Congress leader Kumari Selja made a direct attack on Bhupendra Singh Hooda, under whose leadership the party contested the elections and failed to win in the state. Kumari Selja stressed that the national leadership of the party needs to formulate a strategy to revive the party in the state and identify those responsible for the poor performance of the party in the Haryana Assembly elections. Selja also stressed the need to identify leaders who are weakening the party’s efforts to gain power in the state.

Kumari Selja told the media that ‘saddened by the disappointment of Congress workers, I am confident that the party high command will assess the reasons for the defeat. The high command should prepare a plan to help revive the party in Haryana and identify those responsible for the results. He said that ‘everything will not happen as usual in Haryana and I am sure that the Congress high command will identify those who sabotaged the efforts to bring the party to power after 10 years.’

Selja attacked Hooda
It is noteworthy that by winning 48 seats in the 90-member assembly, BJP is going to form the government in the state for the third consecutive time. The Congress party, which was aiming to return to power after 10 years, has been reduced to 37 seats. Congress Lok Sabha MP and former Union Minister Selja said, ‘I am sure that the party will look into all the aspects responsible for such results in Haryana.’ He also said that the factors influencing the organization include taking everyone along and ensuring coordination among all the leaders.

Factionalism clearly visible in Haryana Congress
Even before the assembly elections, factionalism was clearly visible in Haryana Congress. Selja had often publicly expressed his concerns against Hooda’s leadership on several occasions. Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Bhupendra Hooda was accused of trying to control the state unit of Congress. Before the elections, referring to him, Selja had said that ‘there are many people who want to move forward alone. When someone is determined not to cooperate, I cannot say anything. Selja had also opposed the pressure from the Hooda camp to make Bhupendra Hooda the party’s chief ministerial candidate.
