The victim woman Anita Mishra was kept imprisoned in a small room for years by her in-laws in house number 1112 located in Sector-4 E of Bokaro. It is alleged that Anita was tortured by her husband and mother-in-law. He was often kept hungry. Police reached the spot after getting information and rescued the woman. At present, the victim woman is under the care of Bokaro women police station.

Police broke the lock
As soon as the information was received, the police of City Sector-4 police station and Mahila police station reached the spot. The police found a small room in the out house of the residence locked. When I called from the window, a frightened woman’s voice was heard. The police assured the woman and broke the lock of the door and took her out safely. The woman was physically weak and mentally very scared.

Husband got married for the second time!
At the same time, the victim woman told the police that her maternal home is in Gorakhpur, UP. 10 years ago she was married to Arun Mishra, who is deaf and mute. They also had a child, but he died a few years ago. After this the in-laws started harassing her. Since she had no children, her mother-in-law and husband often locked her in a small room. Food was not given on time. Toilet facilities were also in the same room. Anita Mishra told that her husband has also remarried.
