Azhar Ali, a resident of Durgavaliya village of Maharajganj district, is giving a wonderful message of Hindu-Muslim unity. While talking to Local 18, Azhar Ali told that he has had deep devotion towards Hindu and Muslim religions since childhood. He has always been participating enthusiastically in the festivals of both the religions.
Azhar Ali keeps fast during Navratri
Presently he is fasting for Navratri. He told that he will observe Navratri fast continuously for the next 9 years. Azhar says that through this fast he wants to give the message of unity and harmony between the people of both the religions. While people are moving towards religious fanaticism, Azhar wants to draw attention to mutual brotherhood with this initiative.
Also play important role in Dussehra
Azhar Ali is not only fasting for Navratri, but is also actively associated with the Durga Pandal Committee on the occasion of Dussehra. He plays an important role in the committee and is trying to further strengthen Hindu-Muslim harmony in the coming times.
He believes that social media has a big impact on the society and hence people should avoid religious fanaticism happening on social media. In particular, Azhar has advised the youth to be inspired towards mutual brotherhood and stay away from religious fanaticism.
