Khargon. There is a wave of mourning in the entire world including India. The country has lost a great industrialist and social worker Ratan Naval Tata. He died at the age of 86 in a hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday night. Ratan Tata was the honorary chairman of Tata Sons, known for his generosity and service to society.
The people of Khargone also deeply mourned his demise and remembered his contribution. Ratan Tata’s mortal remains were kept for the last rites at the National Center for Performing Arts at Nariman Point on Thursday. Thousands of people reached there and paid tribute to him. His last rites took place at Worli crematorium in the evening.

Speaking to Local 18, senior Khargone journalist Umesh Rewaliya said, Ratan Tata’s demise is an irreparable loss for the country. He was not just an industrialist but also a great social worker who worked a lot for the poor. His contribution will always be remembered in the history of the country.

Bharat Yadav, a local resident of Khargone, said, Ratan Tata was an industrialist who made a huge contribution not only in business but also in social work. With initiatives like Nano car, he fulfilled the dream of middle class families. His vision and sensitivity towards society made him different from others.

Ratan Tata has left his mark not only in the industry but also in social service. While paying tribute, Advocate Govind Khede said, Ratan Tata’s name is used not only in India but in almost 100 countries of the world. Today we have lost a great personality. The loss caused to the industry by his demise will never be compensated.
Help to the poor from NGO
Many people of Khargone remembered that NGOs used to get funds from many companies of Ratan Tata and also remembered the work done for the poor through the same NGOs. BG Joshi said, Ratan Tata was a messiah for the poor. His NGO has helped many people in the field of education and employment. Now if funding to these NGOs stops after his departure, it will be a big blow to the poor. People believe that Ratan Tata’s demise is the end of an era, but his legacy of social service and contribution towards the country will always live on.
