Many youth are planting the flag of the country in foreign countries. India has an important contribution in the world economy. The economy here is emerging rapidly. All this is becoming possible because of the youth. Now what is the reason why India is called the country of youth?

In fact, at present 65 percent of the population in India is below 35 years of age. This figure is based on World Population Prospects. Out of the total population of the country i.e. about 145 crore, 65 percent of the people are not above 35 years of age. For this reason India is called the country of youth. It is because of these youth that the country is progressing. But now news is coming out that in this young country there is a state which is aging rapidly. This state is Himachal Pradesh.

The figures are worrying
The population of Himachal Pradesh is about 78 lakh. There are only 12 lakh people whose age is between 18 to 29. That means everyone else is older. The balance between birth and death rates in Himachal is also disturbed. According to the report of National Family Health Survey 5, there has been a huge decline in the fertility rate in Himachal while the death rate is average. In such a situation, fewer people are being born and old people are living longer lives.

old people will be filled
At present the fertility rate per woman i.e. total fertility rate in Himachal is 1.70 percent. In contrast, the Mau rate is 2.1 percent. If the same rate continues in the future, then soon the number of old people in this state will increase significantly. Many reasons have emerged behind this. In fact, the interest in reproduction among the youth here has decreased. The wedding is getting delayed. Due to this also there is problem in having children. Those who are married are not interested in children because of inflation. In such a situation, there is a need to find a solution to this problem in time. Otherwise the outcome will not be good.
