Rajgarh (Rahul Vijay): There is a very famous and miraculous temple of Maa Chamundeshwari Shakti Peeth in village Mau, about 56 km from Rajgarh district headquarters. Devotees come here from far and wide to have darshan. It is believed that all wishes are fulfilled here. It is said that centuries ago there used to be a military cantonment here, which was later converted into a police station. When the same police station was wanted to be shifted to nearby Suthalia, the idol of the mother appeared from the wall of the police station, that is why the mother is called the Police Mother.
Even constables and IPS officers offer prayers to Mother Jagdambe who appeared from the wall of the police station. Whatever miracles happened in this temple earlier, the police have recorded them in the diary. It is also said that no one leaves empty handed at the mercy of mother. Here, Mother Goddess solves the problems of the devotees who are stuck in court and police station matters.
In 1988, when the government ordered that Suthalia is a bigger town than Mau, hence the police station should be shifted here. When an attempt was made to shift the police station to Suthalia as per government orders, the police station itself caught fire. As soon as the police station came to Suthalia, cracks appeared in the new building. Then went back to Mau police station. After this, the name of Mhow Suthalia police station is written before the city police station.
A building from the British era is also built here. The temple is operated by the police administration itself. According to temple priest Radheshyam Sharma, the incidents that took place during the first police station are recorded in the diary. This place is maintained by the police department. After Navratri, a big Bhandara is organized here.
