The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has launched ‘Humsafar Policy’ for the convenience of the drivers plying on the National Highway, so that they can get facilities like clean toilet, baby care room, wheelchair, accommodation etc. Besides, instructions have also been given that it is mandatory to install digital public feedback system at entry gates everywhere. This system will be linked to the Highway App, which is monitored real time by NHAI officials.

this is how it will work
There will be an option of rating in the digital public feedback system. If you are not happy with the facilities available there then you can give a low rating. There will be options from one to five. According to the rules, three ratings will be considered average. If the rating is 2.5 or less, a notice will be issued to the concerned company. Its monitoring will be real time. In this way, action can be taken against the concerned and penalty can also be imposed on him. These will be regularly inspected by an external agency appointed by NHAI. Places with less stores will also be inspected.
Petrol pump toilets will have to be kept clean
It is mandatory for petrol pumps to keep the toilets clean and open for public use. During the launch of the policy, Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said, ‘I have seen that toilets at many petrol pumps remain closed. It is mandatory to keep the toilets of petrol pumps located along the National Highway clean and open for public use. Failure to do so may result in petrol pumps being closed.
